Frequently Asked Questions

  • What type of photo should I send? Any photo of your pet is acceptable, however, if you want to make sure we see all of the unique aspects of your pet please make sure it’s a clear photo.
  • Can I review the art work? Yes, we can let you review the artwork. We will reach out to you after our designers have finished and will let you give us your feedback. Your happiness is our happiness. No order will move to production without your approval.
  • What is your lead time? As all items are custom made, we ask that you give us 3 - 4 weeks to make and ship your order. You will receive tracking once your item ships.
  • Can you do expedite orders? Unfortunately not as all items are custom made.
  • What is your return policy? As every item we make is made to order for each customer, we are unable to offer returns.
  • Are there any limitations? Our knitted items (Blanket and Sweater) are currently limited to only four colors for the entire piece. This is due to the knitting machines that we use. We will work with you to help pick the best four colors but please be mindful of our limitations. With some pets, we need to change background colors due to the design you choose. We do our best but please pay attention to your proof — the background color of your proof is the body color of your blanket or sweater. The 9x12 Canvas is hand-drawn and printed, not knitted, so it doesn’t have this color limitation.
  • Do I get to see the image before production? Yes, we will send you a proof to approve before production. We will not go to production until we hear back from you.
  • Can I send multiple photos in for my item? Yes, please feel free to send those other photos to hello@sweaterhound.com
  • How long does the process take? We typically say it takes 5 days to get a proof, however during busy times it may take longer to receive a proof and 20 working days from proof approval. However, certain times of year may be a bit longer. But we will keep you as updated as possible.
  • Can you have cats on items? Yes, we love all animals. Cats and dogs are part of our standard pricing model. If you have an animal other than a cat or dog, we have a unique animal design and can work with you on the design. That has an additional charge when you redeem your voucher at checkout.
  • Can you do more than one pet on an item? This voucher is good for only one pet per item (Blanket, Sweater, or Canvas). There is an additional charge when you redeem your voucher at checkout if you would like to add more pets.

As every garment we make is made to order for each customer, we are unable to offer returns. In the rare case that you are not satisfied with your order, our team will work with you to ensure that your order exceeds your expectations.
